May 13, 2013 · Supreme Just Filed a Federal Trademark For Its Logo. As you’ve probably heard, Supreme is suing Married to the Mob label owner (and ANIMAL friend) Leah McSweeney for $10 million claiming copyright infringement of their signature logo in her “ Supreme Bitch ” parody design. However, the logo they are suing over hasn’t been federally trademarked.

Cornell law professor Michael C. Dorf comments on a lawsuit in which New York State and other plaintiffs are suing the federal government over an immigration policy of arresting undocumented immigrants when they appear in state court on unrelated matters.

As apart of the months long battle between Supreme New York and Supreme Italia (the legal fake label selling similar branded items), the European Unions Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) ruled against the New York label to become a registered trademark within the European Union.

The answer to this question is closely linked to the above. Supreme New York is already trying to stop them by applying for an EU “Supreme” trademark.

What’s very interesting is the fact that Supreme New York applied for the trademark registration in 2014. It was not until 2017 that the application was initially accepted. Since then, the Chinese office still hasn’t granted the full protection to the rightful owner of the Supreme New York brand (Chapter 4 Corp.) due to the opposition pending.
